Extra-Curricular Activities
The college has many societies that promote extra-curricular activities.
Students are encouraged to join these societies and participate in the
various activities so that they can build up their self-confidence, hone
their skills and bring their latent talent to the fore. This has enabled
them to participate very successfully in various intra and inter college
forum and at the inter university level as well.
STUDENT SOCIETIES
The following societies together sponsor National Integration, Women's
Development and Environment Protection Programmes. It is mandatory for all
students to become a member of at least one society.

COMMUNITY AND SOCIAL SERVICE - COMPULSORY SOCIETIES
The college offers its students opportunities for personality development
and enrichment by means of community and social service in any one of the
following programmes. Every student should be a member of at least one of
the below. Attendance is compulsory for clearance at the end of academic
year.

- The NSO is an organisation committed to the improvement of national
standards in sports and games. It aims at developing a sporting spirit
and teamwork. The college has been the recipient of the Vice
Chancellors' trophy for the past several years for excellence in sports,
amongst the women colleges in Delhi University.

- The NCC aims at the development of leadership, character,
comradeship, the spirit of sportsmanship and the ideal of service. It
creates a force of disciplined and trained womanpower that in a national
emergency could be of assistance to the country. It provides training to
students with the view to developing in them officer-like qualities.
Each member of the NCC/NSO, has a participation record for the year, in
which the officer in charge / L.P.E. records the participation.
- The NSS is promoted by the Ministry of Human Resources and
Development and has for its objective the development of a sense of
social committment in the student. The scheme encourages nationally
accepted objectives e.g. pride in being Indian, democracy, socialism,
secularism, national integration and development of a scientific temper
and work ethos. The students work with NGO's, social work organizations,
organize blood donation camps and assist in relief works as and when
necessary .

- JMCEP (Jesus & Mary Children's Education Programme) offers
children of the neighborhood and local schools some informal teaching to
assist them in improving their performance in school . It also provides
our students an interface with the children of the neighbourhood.
- WSDC programmes in women's studies and development are offered to the
students of second and third year. WSDC aims to sensitize our students
about 'women' and inculcate in them an awareness about the innate spirit
and energy that constitute our strength and resources.
